Kris Aquino said on Wednesday over her television show Kris TV that The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) will donate 100 tons of goods to affected families in Cagayan de Oro and nearby places which has been devastated by Typhoon Sendong.
"We got word yesterday (Tuesday) from our friends sa United Nations, 'yung United Nations High Commission for Refugees was trying to coordinate with me 'yung turnover ng goods para madala sa Mindanao. Kaya lang, they couldn't give me a specific date because ang sosyal, mag-thank you tayo sa UN [dahil] 100 tons of goods [ang ibibigay nila]," she said in Kris TV aired over ABS CBN.
She said that one of her sisters Ballsy Aquino-Cruz or Pinky Aquino-Abellada will received the goods and bring it to CDO in case she is not present because she will be spending Christmas abroad together with her sons Joshua and James.
