Manila, Philippines- In a television interview, Congresswoman Gloria Arroyo confidently said that she has peace of mind despite all the allegations against her. Arroyo said she is innocent of the electoral sabotage filed against her by the DOJ-COMELEC investigation team led by Secretary of Justice Leila de Lima and COMELEC Commissioner Sixto Brilliantes.
Arroyo also said that the administration of President Noynoy Aquino is prejudging her and is using demagoguery tactics to discredit her. Should she’ll be put in jail and pinned her down President Aquino would look good to the Filipino people. But apart from that Arroyo said that she still believes in the Rule of Law.
The once most powerful person in the Philippines will be transferred at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center on Friday for her request of hospital arrest. She will be confined in a 150 square meter presidential suite of which her predecessor Joseph Estrada was also detained.
The night before her transfer the 64 year old congresswoman said that she remembered what her father taught her, “do what is right, do your best and let God take care of the rest.”
