Manila, Philippines- Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri is expected to announce his resignation on the senate later today, August 3, 2011. The said resignation is due to the appearance of new witnesses regarding the 2007 election. Senator Panfilo Lacson also confirmed the resignation of Sen. Zubiri.
Reports said that the resignation will be announce in a speech later at the senate. Sen. Zubiri's family and friends is expected to attend the senate session.
