Gerdatheresia Kleinschmiclt, 54, German national, resident of Juna Subdivision and Aniano Sanoria Melendres, 57, taxi driver, resident of Km.8 of Matina Pangi, Davao City were arrested for kidnapping a 13 year old boy who resides at Juna Subdivision.
According to police, Kent, not his real name, was waiting for a taxi in front of NCCC mall when Kleinschmiclt approached and befriended him. A few minutes later a taxi came and Kleinschmiclt offered a free ride to Kent since both of them reside in the same subdivision. But when the taxi reaches Kent's house, Kleinschmiclt ordered the driver (Melendres) to proceed to Lispher Inn in the same subdivision (Juna). When they reached Lispher Inn the boy asked help from the security guard on duty and immediately the boy was rescued and the two suspects fled.
The suspects were arrested at around 1 p.m on Friday and was filed with a case in relation to Republic Act 7610, otherwise known as An Act Providing a Stronger Deterrence and Special Protection against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination, according to Police Officer 2 Ronald Baguio, duty investigator of Talomo Police Station.
