The Senator judges as well as the people in the Senate session hall were all surprised when the Chief Justice suddenly leaves the Senate session hall after he ask the 188 congressmen and Senator Franklin Drilon to sign a waiver.
“I am humbly asking the 188 congressmen and Senator Franklin Drilon to sign the blank forms and to join me to face the people together,” Corona said.
Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile was shocked after patiently waiting for the lengthy speech of the Chief Justice.
“With all due respect to the chief justice, we have not yet discharged him!” the Senate President sitting as presiding officer said.
Corona's son in law Dr. Jojo Castillo said that CJ Corona has a diabetes and that he was forced to leave the senate session hall due to a blurring vision.
