Marissa Lapid, wife of Senator Lito Lapid was arrested in US for smuggling $50,000 last January 15. The said arrest was in connection with her earlier arrest that happened on November 27, 2011 for the the alleged smuggling. It was learned that Marissa declared $10,000 to the Custom personnel at the Las Vegas Airport but when further search was done authorities found another $40,000 on two separate socks.
