Warrant out for Palparan's arrest

 

Warrant of Arrest was issued by a Bulacan Court for partylist representative and ex-Maj. General Jovito Palparan. Palparan attempted to leave the country on Monday at around 7:30 in the morning and was barred by immigration officials at the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) in Clark. Though he has no arrest warrant at that time but he was already listed in the watch list order of the Department of Justice.

Palparan was suspected that he has knowledge on the immediate disappearance of two University of the Philippines students. Lieutenant Colonel Felipe Anotado, Master Sergeant Rizal Hilario and Staff Sergeant Edgardo Osorio are also included in the arrest order. They are all facing two counts of kidnapping and illegal detention for the enforced disappearance of University of the Philippines students Sherlyn Cadapan and Karen Empeno.

According the Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, Palparan was not arrested but was only barred from leaving the country to answer all accusation against him.
