Jyoti Amge was recognized as the world's shortest woman by Guinness World Records on Friday, December 16, 2011. Amge stands 2.8 centimeters (24.7 inches) tall during her 18th birthday on Friday. She said the title of being the shortest woman in the world is an "extra birthday present".
"I have put Nagpur on the world map. Now everyone will know where it is," she added.
Amge also said that she wants to pursue an university degree and become and go to Bollywood and become an actor someday.
Her recognition in the Guiness brings her trips to Japan and Italy to meet with other record holders.
