CDO not warned about Sendong: mayor

Cagayan de Oro Mayor Vicente Emano said that his place was not warned against Tropical Storm Sendong with an international name Washi. And thus, CDO was not able to prepare for the wrath of the said storm. CDO  was the most devastated area in Mindanao along with Iligan with up to 300 dead people and more than 300 are still missing. According to Mayor Emano he cannot give the exact figure of how many are dead since authorities are still digging some dead people.

The large amount of rainfall caused the river in CDO to overflow and dumped into 13 nearby barangays. 

Cagayan de Oro and Iligan are still under the state of calamity.
