Manila, Philippines- Kevin Eric Lunsmann was able to escaped his abdcutors in Basilan on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Kevin was kidnapped on July 12 along with his mother Gerfa and cousin Romnick Jackaria in Ticatabon Island. Gerfa was freed last October 2 while Romnick was able to escaped last month.
Kevin is now in the custody of government authorities as confirmed by Lt. Col Randy Cabangbang of the Western Mindanao Command.
The 14-year old courage was acknowledge by United States Ambassador to Manila Harry Thomas. Thomas also thanked the government thanked the government for its "tireless efforts" to free Lunsmann.
