Chris Birch was a typical man who works in a bank, likes sports and has proposed to his girlfriend. One day he suffered a stroke that results to a sudden change in his life. Birch, a Welshman, was trying to make back flip but broke his neck and suffered a stroke.
"It sounds strange, but when I came round I immediately felt different," Birch told the Daily Mail. "I wasn't interested in women any more. I was definitely gay. I had never been attracted to a man before - I'd never even had any gay friends."
Birch left his work and begin his job as a hairdresser. And right now he is dating his boyfriend whom he met in a club.
Experts said stroke may cause a sudden change in a patients life as it will "open up" a different part of the brain.

"Strokes are traumatic, life-changing experiences, which can make you reassess life and your feelings so perhaps that's the reason behind it," Joe Korner, director of communications for The Stroke Association in the U.K said. "Whether or not the stroke turned Chris gay, or whether he was gay anyway but unaware of it, his experience seems to be a positive one, which is great."
