Forbes releases the latest list of the world's top earning and highest paid authors around the world. James Patterson, an American author and an entertainment mogul is the world's highest paid author earning $84 million for the past year, according to the survey based on sales from May 2010 to April 2011. His earnings is more than double than Daniel Steel who is at the number 2 spot earning only $35 million.
