"..be like Sara Duterte"- Bayan-NCR

Leftist group and Human Rights advocates  Bagong Alyansang Makabayan-National Capital Region (Bayan-NCR) sees no wrong to what the lady mayor of Davao City did to a Sheriff on Friday, July 1, 2011. Bayan-NCR stressed out that situation that involves Duterte was a "rare showcase of a government official showing concern to her constituents and risking all possible consequences on her actions just to safeguard her people
against any form of dislocation and destruction of their homes."
Paulo Quiza, NCR spokesperson of Bayan said, "we just hope that all of the city mayors here in Metro Manila and maybe in all parts of the country will be like Davao City Mayor Duterte-Carpio. We just hope that all of our government officials will have the guts and willpower to stand for the interests of our poor people who composed the vast majority of our population". He also added that "having more mayors like Duterte-Carpio that will defend their constituents can give our poor people more security to their shelter, livelihood and to their right to live and have decent life. May the bravery and political will of Mayor Duterte-Carpio can inspire other government officials from the national to the local elective posts to define their purpose and to identify if to whom really are their serving for".
