The entire French nation, including his rivals and allies were shocked of the news that Strauss-Kahn was being pulled out of his flight and is facing charges of attempted rape and criminal sex act.
For some this might be the end of Straus-Kahns political ambition which is starting to rise. If proven guilty he will be put to prison for 10-15 years.
Anne Sinclair, Strauss-Kahn's wife and a famous French journalist, said in a statement "I do not believe for one second the accusations brought against my husband. I have no doubt his innocence will be established,".
Stauss-Kahn hired New York lawyer Benjamin Brafman, a seasoned defense attorney famed for striking deals or winning not-guilty verdicts for Sean "P. Diddy" Combs and ex-New York Giants star Plaxico Burress.
